Ben is an elite tutor and test prep expert with over 25 years of experience. He is a former Curriculum Director for Kaplan Test Prep who also created the award-winning Peterson's Test Prep SAT online course. Ben has created industry-leading courses, trained hundreds of teachers, written thousands of question explanations, and personally taught thousands of students how to succeed on standardized tests.

  • National test preparation expert with over 25 years of experience.

  • Wrote or reviewed LSAT content for other leading companies including Peterson’s, SparkNotes, and Knewton.

SAT & ACT

  • As Director of Test Preparation for Peterson’s, created revolutionary online courseware meeting the unique needs of every individual.

  • Produced the award-winning Peterson’s Test Prep SAT Online Course. Broke new ground in both test preparation and e-learning by creating courseware that tracks skill gaps, score goals, and learning preferences. 

  • Designed and developed Peterson’s ACT Online Course.

  • Won Gold Medal in the 2003 Brandon Hall Excellence in e-Learning Awards in the “Innovative Technology” category. Finalist in the 2004 Codie Awards. 

  • Recent publications include SparkNotes’ SAT All-Nighter and ACT All-Nighter.

GMAT

  • Published Kaplan’s GMAT Courses; responsible for all CAT strategy. 

  • Researched score behavior of GMAT CAT. 

  • Designed and developed Peterson’s GMAT CAT software, a 3-parameter IRT-based test that for most students matched scores on the actual GMAT within 5 percentage points.
